Though not plastic plates......

In Stanley Marcus' book "Who's Minding the Store", Mr. Marcus said that these "glass plates have consistently been a catalog's best seller". After reading that, we ordered them for our CASH&CARRY warehouse in Coconut Grove, Florida and sure enough, our customers loved them. At home, we use them for everyday salad plates in the 9" size and as a service plate in the 11" size. High-end caterers use these glass plates for small private parties, sometimes with Caspari's napkins, found under under CASPARI, as an alternative to linen napkins.
